Aylesbury Vale Arts Council have supported many community arts projects in past years. Here are some examples of projects that have been successful.

¥ A grant to buy basic lighting for a village theatre group
¥ A grant to cover costs of publishing for a group of local writers
¥ A series of summer holiday dance workshops in Walton Court
¥ A Shakespearean performance by a professional theatre company in Aylesbury
¥ A Christmas ceilidhs and art festival
¥ A group of organisations wishing to participate in 'The Big Draw'
The King's Men, Shakespeare at the King's Head

Title of Project: Performance of Merry Wives of Windsor
Description of Project: A group of volunteers decided to put on an open air professional Shakespeare performance in Aylesbury. The performance was open to the general public to buy tickets and was in partnership with the National Trust who provided the venue in kind. The group applied for a guarantee against loss to cover any short fall in ticket sales making the project less of a risk for the organisers.
